INTERNSHIP PROJECT
Josh Hailey runs his own art and design studio in New Orleans, Louisiana. During the internship, I worked closely with him and other interns in the studio on a stencil project to create digital elements that would eventually carry out numerous projects for clients. In working with a team at the studio for a year, I developed 21 digital stencils reflecting aspects of New Orleans. The process then involved hand-cutting the digital designs into polystyrene sheets. Afterward, they were used with spray paint on large canvases with numerous textures. These pieces were commissioned by locals and commercial clients. I was able to gain valuable experience from a creative artist on the process of in-house communication and the implementation of long-term projects.
